NTU System members will delay the opening of the 2020 Spring Semester by two weeks.
To prevent the spread of the severe special infectious pneumonia epidemic caused by the deadly novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) and in line with national policy for epidemic prevention, the three member universities of the National Taiwan University System, namely National Taiwan University (NTU), National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU), and National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (Taiwan Tech), have deliberated and agreed unanimously to postpone the opening of the 2020 Spring Semester by two weeks to March 2, 2020 so as to secure sufficient time for preparing anti-epidemic measures. In response to the opening delay, the three universities will modify course-related regulations and rules to ensure students’ right to education.
