The 2023 Taipei International Book Fair was grandly held at Exhibition Hall 1 of the Taipei World Trade Center from the end of January to the beginning of February. NTU Press (NTUP) organized an exquisite book exhibition under the theme of “Knowledge Intersections” at the venue. The creative booth design presented the academic publications of NTUP collected over the years. In addition to the book exhibition, NTUP also hosted nine seminars, attracting many readers to participate. The remarkable design of the NTUP booth stood out among hundreds of others and was awarded the Gold Award for small and medium booth design.

President Wen-Chang Chen (陳文章) stated in his opening remarks that books are always the spiritual food that can touch the soul. The profound academic energy accumulated by NTUP is worthy of high recognition. President Chen was pleased to see many textbooks incorporate the explanations of local cases in Taiwan. Meanwhile, expanding cooperation with world-class academic publishing corporations and launching publications such as the National Taiwan University Harvard-Yenching Academic Series also showcase NTU’s efforts to go global.

The award-winning design of NTUP’s booth used layers of space and light to create shadow changes from different angles, which symbolizes the different levels of knowledge and vigorous vitality of NTU. Readers who stepped into the booth could feel the cleansing of the soul, the friendly call of knowledge, and experience the depth and sincerity of the NTUP’s years of hard work. Through this meaningful event, NTU expects to give back to the supportive readers and fulfill the social responsibility of the University.
