Main Library Adds ECCO, MOMW, EAI, EEBO, and PAO Databases to Its Collections

In 2007, the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences of the National Science Council has imported five databases from the National Licence Archive: Eighteenth Century Collections Online (ECCO), The Marking of the Modern World (MOMW), English Early Books Online (EEBO), Early American Imprints (EAI) , and Periodicals Archive Online (PAO). These five databases contain more than half a million books and documents, and can be accessed through the internet by universities, colleges, and research institutes all over Taiwan.

Of the five databases, EAI has to do with the collection of American documents of the early 17th and 19th centuries, while PAO has the full texts of all articles published in the humanities and social sciences periodicals in Taiwan.

All NTU faculty and students and people from all walks of society are welcome to utilize NTU Main Library’s electronic database to access[or look up information in these five databases. Simply log onto: http://dbi.lib.ntu.edu.tw/libraryList/index.html
