Eurasia-Pacific Uninet is an academic network subsidized by Austria !|s Ministry of Education, Science and Culture whose main purpose is to establish liaison and academic cooperation between Austria and the nations in East Asia, Central Asia and the Pacific Rim . This year, Uninet is providing NTU with four scholarships allowing qualified candidates to go to Uninet member universities in Austria to do research.

Deadline for the application is now set at March 15th. Applicants will have to fill out the application forms, and prepare their research proposals, their highest academic credentials, letter of acceptance from a professor of Uninet!|s member universities in Austria, and their list of publications, and submit all these documents to NTU!|s Center for International Academic Exchange. The Center will select four candidates and transfer their files to the Reviewing Committee in Austria for reappraisal.

According to Austria !|s visa regulations, recipients of scholarships for less than six months may not have their visas extended, but if the term of scholarship surpasses six months, then the recipients may apply for extension of stay and a resident visa.
