The year 2008 marks the 80^th anniversary of NTU's founding. As the University has gone through various phases of seed sowing, growth, and bumper harvest, the 80^th anniversary is a grand occasion particularly worthy of our review, thanksgiving, and prospecting. The celebration activities will kick off with the Azalea Festival in March, and then continue through the whole year.

Relevant activities will revolve around eight major themes, which are about students, academics, international exchange, athletic events, arts and literature, alumni, publication and commemoration, and ceremonials. As the contents of the celebration activities are quite diversified and pluralistic, colleagues, alumni, parents, and people from all walks of life are cordially invited to attend and make their contributions. In order to highlight this significant event, NTU officially solicited succinct, powerful, loud and easily memorable slogans. All faculty and staff, in-school students and alumni are welcome to contribute their creative ideas.
