2014 PINE University Sports Meet Kicks Off in NTU

PINE Universities engage in friendly basketball, badminton, and volleyball sports games Aug. 26-27.

The first annual Pan-Asia International Network for Elite League sports event kicked off on Aug. 26 at National Taiwan University. Dubbed PINE, the league was established by five elite universities in the pan-Asia area, including Hong Kong University, Tsinghua University, Peking University, National University of Singapore, and National Taiwan University. The universities will meet once a year to engage in friendly sports exchange and competitions.

This year’s sports meet features men’s and women’s basketball, men’s volleyball, and men’s and women’s badminton . A live streaming of the games has also been made available for online streaming:

The purpose of the games is to enhance interaction, communication, and exchange beyond that of the academia among the students, faculty, and staff of the five universities.
